Bowling club facilities

All-weather bowling rinks

We have eight full-size, all-weather rinks on a green measuring 37.5 metres (123 feet) x 37.5 metres (123 feet).

The top surface of the base of the rink is constructed using porous concrete laid by Bavari SL - a highly experienced specialist sports surface supplier.

On top of this is the artificial playing surface laid by Dales Bowls Surfaces of the UK. Dales artificial outdoor bowling greens are installed throughout Europe, the Americas, the Far East and Australia.

Going Green

Water and pesticide restrictions have made artificial surfaces for lawn bowling very popular around the world particularly as the the green is always ready, year round.  

Many top players prefer to play on artificial surfaces.

Equipment rental

Ask in the Club pavilion - bowling shoes and bowls are available for hire at very reasonable prices.

Coaching

This is available free of charge to beginners on an informal basis.

For the more advanced who wish to polish up their game, professional coaching can be arranged. Please ask at the pavilion.

Spectators and visitors

Spectators are always welcome and if you'd like to try your hand at bowls, you can do so without having to become a member.

Refreshments

On site: Open all day and within the bowling green facilities is a fully stocked bar which also serves light snacks and sandwiches. This may be used by both players and visitors alike.

Nearby: Less than 100 yards from the bowling rink is Bar La Risa. Again, open all day and open to everyone, this bar serves drinks and meals from a more comprehensive menu.

In addition, the golf clubhouse also has a bar and restaurant which may be used by visitors.

Changing rooms and showers

Separate male and female changing rooms, toilets and showers are available.

Accommodation

On site there are apartments and town houses available to rent on a short or long-term basis.

Padel tennis

There are three courts available for hire. Coaching can also be arranged.
